A day of practice and study with Michael Stone

Saturday March 6 / 9:30am – 3:30pm Cost: $99

Learn the secrets of spontaneous meditation with author Michael Stone. This course is recommended for all practitioners, novice and expert alike.

Morning Session (Asana) 9:30am-12pm

Explore the internal patterns of breath and movement that will make familiar postures come alive in new ways and discover creative sequences of postures that link with one another creating spontaneous meditation.

Afternoon Session (Meditation and Study) 1:30pm-3:30pm

Michael will explore the basic teachings of yoga philosophy and how they come to life in the mind, body and culture in each and every moment.

Teachings on Ethics & Social Action

Friday March 5 / 8pm-9pm

A free public lecture with teacher, author and activist Michael Stone. Michael will be reading from his book Yoga For A World Out Of Balance and signing copies after the lecture.

About Michael

Michael Stone is a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, activist and author. He co-leads the Centre of Gravity Sangha, a community of Yoga and Buddhist practitioners in Toronto and travels internationally, teaching in academic, yoga studio and conference settings. Michael offers course and retreats that focus on integration yoga postures, breathing practices, meditation and textual study. He is the author of The Inner Tradition of Yoga (Shambala Publications) with a foreword by Richard Freeman and his latest book, Yoga for a World Out of Balance: Teachings on Ethics and Social Action (Shambhala Publications) with a foreword by B.K.S Iyengar. visit: www.centreofgravity.org
